more diverse economic base. The UK must create more successful, high added value
businesses and industries to produce and maintain the wealth creating products,
infrastructure and services of the future. These innovative new enterprises will
build on our national strengths in science and technology, regenerate our
industrial base, address the grand challenges facing society, boost GDP and
underpin social progress at all levels.

market to deliver. Creating the hi-tech sustainable economy of the future will
require new models of cooperation between industry, government and education to
rebalance the economy and drive growth.
